Hello everyone, this laptop is a 10th gen and we definitely will not be seeing a schematic any time soon.. It uses a RealTek Audio Chipset ALC3247 and I cannot find the datasheet anywhere. The problem is, according to the client, everything was working fine until windows updated and all of a sudden audio stopped working. The strange thing is that audio works when connected through HDMI and WIFI to TV but when disconnected, audio icon with a red sign pops up and windows says no audio output device connected..I've traced the speaker connections directly into the audio chip and the speakers are fine and I've restored windows to factory defaults and have rewritten bios with programmer. I'm yet to replace audio chip but my supplier not online yet. I want to know if anyone has come across such a situation and how it was resolved. |
